Low quality headphone amp, poor frequency range overall
I wanted to buy this as a way for me to get to feel the bass when I listen to music in my apartment. I was pretty excited to try this out. It ended up being really disappointing. The good: * It does help you feel some of the bass range. * Nice packaging I guess * Bluetooth pairing was painless The bad: * It seems like it’s only able to reproduce bass in the 120-50hz range If you’re into bass music like dubstep, or west coast bass, this will not come anywhere near what you’d hope for in terms of sensation. Most of the bass frequencies in that type of music are too low for this thing to reproduce. * The headphone amp/DAC is just awful. All sound stage in music is lost. It also must have a low pass filter and be filtering bass out below a certain frequency for the headphone output because it makes my extremely good headphones sound like it’s missing a whole range of frequencies. Their marketing says it’s a must have for audiophiles. This couldn’t be further from the truth lol. All my friends agreed that this thing is not worth anywhere near the price.
