When I saw this set of 15 bamboo needles for $19.99, I thought it was a fabulous deal. I bought 2 sets of these needles - one set of DPNs and one set of the circular ones, so I will review both types. I currently have a couple of pairs of Clover bamboo needles and I love them, but at around $7 a pair, I can't afford to have a set in every size, so this seemed like it would suit my needs. I received my new bamboo needle set and immediately started knitting up a project on 3.25 DPNs. Over the duration of my project, the tips of the needles started to chip and eventually dull. It was unbelievable! I didn't believe how poor the quality of these needles were. I then moved my project onto a pair of circular needles. I had no problems with the tips of the needles chipping. However, eventually the cord SNAPPED in the middle of my project. I don't consider myself a rough knitter, so there is no reason that this should have happened. I did knit something else on larger-sized DPNs and those didn't chip, so maybe the smaller ones are so tiny that they can't handle the stress? Either way, there is no excuse for the cord to snap on the circular needles! I am really disappointed in my purchase. I am sticking to Clovers from now on because at least I know I won't ever have to replace them.
