Great for 1 year but huge design flaw
I read all the reviews on amazon and was sold by all the positive reviews. I then started to realize that juice was leaking every time I used it right beneath the plastic bowl. No big deal so I would just wipe it off every time. I thought it was just mine but a friend had the same exact problem with there machine...roughly an ounce of juice every would leak onto the spinning mechanism. It eventually leaked through and short circuited the fuse. It tends to be a common problem with the BJE200XL model and breville hasn't been much help either if it's not under warranty. Otherwise it's not their problem. I took it to the local repair guy ($40) and he says he gets a few of these every month because there's a design flaw of some sort allowing juice to seep through and into the insides. It's a easy fix but will need repairs once in a while swapping in and out for blown fuses. Not just this model but even their higher end models. It's simple you don't put electronics underneath liquids. It's going leak sooner or later.
If your considering a breville juicer I highly recommend searching for flaws online or problems with this model to see that I'm not making this stuff up. Something where the electronics are not below the juicer like a gear juice extractor which are on the sides. I feel that all the great reviews are from people who have used it for a week or so of course it's going to work for a limited time. Take in the reviews from people who have used this for a while. There's seems to be a lot of problem with the BJE200XL and having it short circuit through extended uses. They also have poor customer service also so if it breaks you're on your own. I feel that they don't stand behind their products.
