I loved this pitcher until this morning when I poured water in it to make iced tea (which I’ve done for nearly 6 months since purchasing it in January) and the entire bottom portion of the jug splintered and broke. It was not boiling water, just warm enough for tea. The company would not replace it because they claimed their warranty doesn’t cover “accidents” even though this is clearly not an accident. It should stand up to warm liquids and it did not, that’s a quality issue. It’s a great design, but the quality is not there and I will not be buying one again. It was pretty expensive for a pitcher and for it to shatter in under a year of purchase is annoying. You can see now the base splintered in the photo I included.
