I bought the loctote in December, and after using it all of three or four times, the material unravelled where the opening/rope is.. I emailed them and they told me that it was a result of "Serious or intentional abuse" after looking at the picture. If you look at the bag, you can tell that it has not been abused, its clean and in near new condition. A company that stood by its product would not manufacture an excuse to refuse to replace it, or even look at it in person. I've had flimsy canvas bags like this one and none of them had this problem. It is a manufacturing/materials defect, from what I can tell. Buyer beware.
