NOT ACCURATE MEASUREMENTS
I purchased thinking these were nicely made and would last me a lifetime. The first recipe that I made I noticed something weird with the consistency of the dough. It's a recipe I make all the time so I began to think this through. The dough was much stiffer than usual; usually a sign of too much flour. So, I began to get out other measuring cups I had to check these new ones for accuracy. Checking with multiple old measuring cups I found that the 1 cup measure is over 1/8 cup off (too much). My recipe called for 4.5 cups of flour (leveled). If the measure was over 1/8 cup off this means I added over a 1/2cup more flour than I should have. No wonder the dough was too stiff. Further testing revealed several of the measuring cups are off (more than they should be) and a couple are right on, measuring accurately. The idea behind measuring cups is that you are adding precisely what the recipe calls for. I've never seen anything like this before and I'm old. If you want accurate measures keep looking.
