I have worn Rockports for about 13 years and have mostly loved them. Unfortunately I've noticed a decline in their quality the last maybe 5 years. I will be returning this pair due to manufacturing irregularities. The tongues on this new pair are both about 3/4 inch shorter than my previous pair and as well as much shorter than shown in the picture in the ad. When I tie the laces the lace slip off the top of the tongue onto my foot. I've included a picture of one of my old shoes alongside one of the new ones. I have also recently tried on this and several other styles of Rockports at an upscale department store and found them to have the same and other quality control issues - so it's not just the quality of those on Amazon. Until Rockport returns to the outstanding shoes they had in the past, I will be buying a different brand.
