Would you spend a week with the wife of the man you were having an affair with?
After seeing and reading about this book on a daily Kindle book feed, I decided to read it.. From the very beginning I struggled with the plot, the characters. I didn't "like" any of the characters in this book. Never felt like I needed to see how they wrapped things up. Of course, the fantastical plot had something to do with it I guess.. a group of women brought together over the deaths of 2 men, 1 man, Jack/John - married to Arnett, having an long time affair with Callie; Lizbeth, Arnett's daughter in law, who recently lost her husband Dan, and a counselor. While I understand the animosity between Arnett and Callie - the center of their storm, Jack/John was held up like a god of sorts.. women find it easy to be mad at other women, and tend to overlook the cheating man who played an important role in all this. That was never part of the story, and only Arnett shared any anger over his infidelity, as she should have.
As the book progressed, events happened that helped tie up the story - too neat.
Glad to say I'm done with this book.
