Don't buy this.
I would urge you not to buy this battery, but I know you want to, and I know why because I did too. Here's what's going to happen... It will fail in 6-12 months and you are going to end up spending a lot of your time trying to get it replaced. If you think Optima is going to help, you are very very wrong. I read the warranty too, yeah, it looks like Optima will just send you another one, doesn't it? Nope.
When it first started failing from a bad cell I almost had them ready to replace it, but then they (Optima) decided I had to take it somewhere that can test it and print out a report that states how they tested it and why it failed. You'd be surprised how uncommon this is. Time passed and I finally found a place with such a tester. Now they have changed their policy and just don't care.
When you call Optima, they will tell you to call Amazon for help because "When you buy bad produce from the grocery store, you don't return it to the farmer, do you?" But when you buy a car from a dealer, the manufacturer provides the warranty... "Cars are not perishable items, batteries are." Really?
Another thing to note, Amazon cannot call Optima. Optima will tell you to have them call for details on what they have to do, but every time Amazon calls them, the line just disconnects. Interestingly, you will also only be able to call Optima once. After they figure out you're trying to return a battery, it seems they just pick up the phone and hang up on you. I'm not saying they are screening calls based on caller ID, but you should probably have a few different numbers to call from. I am saying with 100% certainty that they are among the rudest people I have ever spoken with.
I should mention Abigail from Amazon's Customer Service went above and beyond on this one and got a replacement processed for me. She absolutely should not have had to do that though. I know amazon is a giant company, and this $200 is not going to hurt them in any way shape or form, but it is not their responsibility to take up the slack for manufacturers who can't bother to warranty their own products.
So if you absolutely must have this battery, please do yourself a favor and spend the extra $40 to get it at your local auto parts store where you can just return it when it dies.
