I do not understand why this book has so many good reviews. I bought it and read it based on the amazon reviews. Well people, don’t always trust the reviews. I’m so confused as to why anyone would think so highly of this story ? It’s not romantic , nor does it have a good story line , no build up what’s so ever. And it did not keep me one my toes ‘ as some have stated. First of all ... this book is meant to be a ‘forbidden’ romance between the two ... where ? Please tell me where ? It starts of with the two characters Grady and Sutton. He is living with her family because he was a bonded by his own. He lived a tough life. Okay great ! You think this is going somewhere. No.... he is 20 she is 18. She climbs into his bed and begs him to take her virginity because she is leaving to college for 4 years. He denies her because her brother is his best friend.... he ‘swallows hard ‘ when she says she’s leaving. Wow he’s actually sad ? Now Sutton is gone for 4 whole years and comes back at the age of 22 and Grady is 24. He is working and she is back in town. He is building or I should say renovating a house ( okay is this from the notebook ?) I think so ! He’s basically making her freaking dream home. But he’s super mean to her for a few days because he ‘can’t’ be with her. Then a few days pass and BAM he’s nice to her and they get together and have crazy sex .... WTF? There was no build up what’s soooo ever. They literally ‘just got together ‘ over such a stupid incident. Because he ‘couldn’t deny her anymore ‘ but he could have stayed away for all those years ? What ? It was sooo bad you guys. I skimmed pages and still didn’t feel like I missed anything. Her Brother didn’t care that they got together, her family was so grateful that they were a couple. It didn’t make any sense at all as to why they couldn’t be together before. And oh god I won’t even go into the ‘ turning point ‘ of the story. It was soooo dumb. But let’s just say they did stay together and the obstacles they faced were beyond dumb. I had no ‘feels ‘ throughout this story as many claimed to have. The author tried to use soooo many metaphors and expressions to how each character feels , it made me sick. No one has that much time to go and express each and every feeling they have throughout the day. It was doing wayyyyyy to much. Overall , I wish I could get my money back for this kindle , because that’s just how bad this story was. It had potential. But it just wasn’t working. I also wish I could give it less than one star. I really would love to know why people are rating it so high ?? Please tell me. Because it doesn’t make sense to me.
