I love my Kindle, but I HATE how slow the Amazon App store is to release critical updates. As of January 19, 2017, the Facebook app is virtually useless. The update has been available for android for months and the app keeps notifying me that the update is needed. Of course when we go to update, we are redirected to the Google Play Store and there is no comparable update to be found on Amazon. This is ridiculous. Amazon. Either allow users access to the Google Play store or hire more developers to keep your app store up to date. I've been a Kindle user since 2009 but I may just make my next tablet purchase an Android or an iPad. I'd rather not, but what is the point of having a tablet that doesn't work properly? At least on an Android tablet we would have access to the Play store and I could always get the Kindle app, Amazon music app, and the prime video app. The best of both worlds. Get it together, Amazon.
