Just a heads up that the reviews that are 5 stars are very inflated. I paid full price for the roped. My experiences with this jump rope vary greatly from the other reviews. I really wanted to like it and was very excited to receive it. Setting it up was fine and I like the idea of adjusting length on the go. I’ve used this rope once a week for DU’s in a WOD and I’ve had it for about 2 months. The rope’s cable is kinking beyond belief already. It also holds the kinks despite how many times you straighten the rope out. The locking mechanism will sometimes just release. I store it in the bag with it lightly wrapped and this shouldn’t be happening. The ball bearing mechanism is kind of awful, I catch resistance sometimes and it seems very weak. Stringing DU’s is harder than it should be. I used my coach’s SRSelite and it performed flawlessly, I really regret not buying another standard speed rope.
