I commute to work 2-3 times per week about 8 miles each way on a paved bike path. Nice and smooth, no potholes or big bumps. This rack is probably not adequate for this much commuting (which isn't much). Within 3 months of this kind of usage, the black aluminum clamp that holds the rack to the seatpost gave out. It cracked one of the hinges in half. I am happy with the bag system. Works well. But the rack itself is probably better suited for those that give it rare usage (few times a month maybe). I will be trying out the more sturdy frame-mounted version. I have attached a picture of the rack and you can see where it broke. Unfortunately since the return period for this rack is 1 month (Amazon) I am stuck with this. I have tried contacting ibera directly but no response to any emails. This is unfortunate. Other than the durability of the clamp, it's a nice looking rack and the bag system is great.
