Maybe it was a bad batch. But the 1st monitor had extreme backlight bleed problem, mostly on the left side (see pictures). I ordered a replacement but just like I predicted the second one was no better. It had slightly better controlled light on the right but the left side was even worse. And no, you don't see it if you're watching something bright on the screen. And YES you see it with anything dark, like a screenshot from youtube video I included. It's bad during the day, it's even worse at night. Any kind of gaming or dark videos make this monitor a nightmare. The only positive thing about this monitor, well not the actual monitor, but the packaging is extremely simple and makes returning it a relative breeze. That's really the only good thing about this product. DONT BUY Shame on you Viewsonic.
