lasted only one year
Beware! If you are going to purchase a cordless vacuum, it will only last about a year. I don't care what they claim. I have had 3 other cordless vacuums at about $175 each. The battery always failed within a year. But, I liked the convenience of a cordless. So, I decided to invest in a $400 model with 2 batteries (Aug 2019), hoping to see improvement. No difference! Both batteries stopped holding a charge (June 2020). I read the directions and take good care of my things, so not operator error. Also, this model is fine for dust/dog hair (short terrier)/low pile rugs, but fails with very tiny rocks the kids track in (I vacuum about 3-4 times a week). So, if you're thinking cat litter, forget it.
I'm very disappointed with cordless vacuums and have gone back to using my 20 year old Dirt Devil canister vac that still does an excellent job. THINGS USED TO BE BUILT TO LAST. So, just suck it up and invest your hard earned money in a vacuum that will last more than 10 years and it will have a CORD. Also, don't rely on reviews from people that JUST bought it like I did. Look for the long term reviews.
