The taste of this is very different. We knew our water in Southern California was dirty and our Brita didn’t change the flavor at all. This honestly tastes like Dasani. The filters are expensive but it’s obviously working. Even my husband who isn’t picky at all noticed the difference. It does take a while to filter the water from the collection container on top to the bottom (obviously b/c it’s working) but b/c of this it takes longer to fill the bottom as the top portion is about half the size of the bottom. So I do feel like I’m constantly filling it BUT it’s worth it in my opinion. Update: changed my review to 2 stars after a few months. The taste of the water turned sour when the filter went bad. I understand it varies how fast this would happen but the filters weren’t even lasting two weeks. We ended up tossing this one and going back to a Brita.
