Attractive and protective case with major design defect, but good customer service (so far)
UPDATE: I previously rated this case four stars, but I can no longer recommend it in light of a serious design defect. The hard plastic bumper that surrounds this case has a major weak point in the cutout for the mute toggle switch on the left side of the iPhone 6. Cracks appear with normal wear, and eventually the bumper splits open and falls off.
My first case broke after less than three months. Spigen customer service was very helpful in sending out a replacement. They suggested that I could reduce the risk of cracking by refraining from removing my iPhone from the case, which in my view is a major flaw of the case because sometimes the phone needs to be removed. However, I took their advice, never removing the phone, and, like clockwork, three months later, the bumper cracked in the same spot.
A scan through other user reviews reveals that this is a major problem with this case. I have included photos showing the cracks.
I have reached out to Spigen customer support once again and will update with what I hear back from them.

ORIGINAL REVIEW
This is an aesthetically pleasing and generally functional case, and after affixing the button stabilizers, it works well enough to recommend with a few reservations.
First a note about the buttons: This case shipped with very poor buttons, providing no tactile feedback and little sensitivity when operating the phone's volume and sleep/wake buttons. After receiving feedback on this issue, Spigen shipped two sets of "premium grade Thermoplastic Urethane button stabilizers" to all customers. The button stabilizers are essentially little plastic stickers that stick to buttons on the inside of the case and restore tactile feedback and sensitivity. In other words, they work.
There is much to like about this case:
1) Attractive design: The case conforms to the curves of the iPhone 6, reinforcing rather than clashing with the phone's signature design elements.
2) Good grip: The case is not slippery, and the textured back adds a little extra grip that adds confidence when handling the phone.
3) Protective: The dual-layer design, with a TPU (dense rubber) sleeve and polycarbonate (hard plastic) bumper, seems to provide decent shock protection against drops without compromising the case's slim form factor. Furthermore, the TPU sleeve includes a slight lip around the screen protecting it against scratching or shattering.
4) Pocketable: The slim case preserves the easy pocketability of the iPhone 6 and does not attract lint or create friction.
However, this case has a couple of design issues that have me still looking for that perfect case for my new phone:
1) Difficult to reach mute switch: The case is very thick around the perimeter of the phone, and while this may provide additional shock protection, it means that the mute switch on the left side of the phone is deeply recessed inside a very small cut-out. Unless you have very small fingers or long finger nails, you will struggle a bit to reach the mute switch. The cut-out should be bigger.
2) Difficult to clean: Another issue with the case's thick perimeter is that the cut-outs at the bottom of the phone for the headphone jack, Lightning port, and speaker are also deeply recessed, potentially trapping dirt and grime that is hard to reach and clean. This wouldn't be such a big deal except for the next issue...
3) Difficult to remove: The case comes in two pieces, a rubber inner sleeve and a hard plastic bumper that fits around the perimeter. In applying the case to the phone, first you fit the rubber sleeve, then you snap the plastic bumper around the edge. Applying the case to the phone seems to have slightly stretched plastic bumper so that it doesn't sit perfectly flush against the rubber sleeve at the bottom of the phone. I am concerned that this case will be difficult to remove without stretching it, so if you plan on taking the phone out of the case to regularly clean it or use it in an exercise armband, this case is not especially conducive to that usage.
4) Flimsy button stabilizers: Finally, while the button stabilizers fixed the button problems, I am not confident that they will stay attached or continue to work well for very long. They are little plastic stickers that were not particularly easy to apply and could slip or wear out. Spigen did provide two sets, which on one hand provides a backup (assuming you don't lose them!), but on the other hand suggests that they are not a permanent fix.
Before the button stabilizers were sent out, I could not recommend this case. However, I can now recommend the case with just a few reservations - it is good but not perfect. My search for the ideal iPhone 6 case must continue, but for now I am happy enough to have this case protecting my investment.
