*******please drop down to see explanation of the photos**************************** I emailed and asked Dr Axe abt this substance with NO EXPLANATION of this grit we are drinking**** I was on the fence about whether this was "trusted" i.e. healthy/ organic no GMO etc and i read the reviews that said the website claimed all the above.. however i find it a bit sketchy that the container claims NOTHING about the ingredients or the sources. They have plenty of room on the can for many pictures!!! but only that it contains "COLLAGEN"...... FROM WHAT??? Drinking this you do so with complete BLIND FAITH. Yes Dr Axe has a good website/blog etc but it is very obvious they do not want to get in trouble so they simply leave no information on the can about the ingredients. I admit i was sucked into getting it becz i wanted to try the "multi" collagen and the only other brand was sold out, so i tried it. First of all it does not mix well... it clumps into big blobs that you need to crush with the back of your spoon to help it dissolve which is unpleasant. I have tried other brands and i can say the taste of this one is sub-par! Its is easy enough to hide the bad taste behind sweet/strong flavors. *****************************the most unsettling thing however,**************************************************************************************** is when you get to the bottom of the cup/glass there is this sediment that will not dissolve... i tasted it and it has the consistency of sand/crushed up shells, i.e hurts the teeth!!! I was wondering is it was Diatomaceous earth? since there are no real source of ingredients... who knows? It is ridiculous that this collagen is twice the price of the grass-fed beef kind (we don't even know if the bovine used is grass-fed or the chickens/eggs organic) which we all know if it was they would certainly tell us... ON THE CAN!!! the cost of organic/grassfed no GMO ingredients cost more, so we all KNOW Dr Axe would advertise it ON THE CAN!!! they are charging twice as much for this product and odds are it is none of these! They are riding on the coat-tails/fame of the website truth be told i have tried other brands and ALL collagen is GREAT!!!!
