I wouldn't even give it one star! I purchased this desk ( Standard Version ) on November 22, 2013, so I could use it occassionally to work on my laptop- its not even 2 years old. When I first purchased it, I thought ot was pretty great. Easy assembly. When you put the desk together, you slide a square tube "stem" attached to the desk part, into a similar metal piece attached to the bottom piece with wheels and it locks into place. I noted that it was a tight fit, the first time I put it togther, but wa told it was because it was new,etc. I noticed this the 2 or maybe 3 times I decided to change the height......so not many times in that time. Well tonight, I decided to move the desk to another room, so I rolled it out, loosened the screw that adjusts the height ( almost all the way off) and gently "GENTLY!" pulled the desk part up....the desk part moved up, but the metal stem attached to the desk snapped right off! THis "stem" is attached to the desk by a METAL crossbar and screws, and it CAME RIGHT APART! Luckily i was holding the desk part by the sides or I would have cut my hand open on the exposed metal where it broke! I'm reallly disgusted, because lately , everything I purchase from AMAZON, lasts about a year and dies! I expect that a desk like this, which everyone seems to love based on the reviews AMAZON shows us, is not worth the money paid for it! ( And by the way, make sure if you buy this? You read the revews on the side in smaller text! As one reviewer said, "another $1.50 in parts and this would have been an awesome product! ) Beware before you buy! "
