updated review May 2022: Some improvements with the updated system of 2022, at least now the software is way better at recognizing human bodies and motion detect to record them accordingly and the NVR doesn't crash and burn anymore. Although human tracking works now, on the other hand it's not picking up anymore a whole car moving across the screen, what a shame. Given the good customer service support and updated system (NVR and camera and software) overall, it's not at trash level anymore. original review December 2019: For this price I expected decent overall system, I was wrong. The whole system is trash. I can't believe so many shill reviewers out there (especially that little kid one showing his own face doing a youtube-like review) giving this crap anything more than 1 star, they probably getting free stuff from the seller. There are multiple quality issues with everything: - the motion detection is absolutely horrendous; it's not picking up a whole person walking across the screen but when it rains, watch out, it records every drop. And after extensive testing, it's only sensitive to light (i.e. headlights from cars) so it's not really motion sensing but rather light sensing, so it's recording whenever a car passes by with headlight on, but not when I'm driving the whole car onto the driveway. Ridiculous. - the NVR crashes every two weeks; yes the whole software system froze! so no recording of any sort when that happened. Had to unplug the power to restart everything...Talk about reliability when you this is supposed to be on 24/7, right? Yikes. - the camera microphone doesn't pick up any sound when it records; what's the point of advertising it as such when it doesn't work? - the cameras disconnect from the NVR system periodically for no reason. For such unreliable system, I want to give it less than 1 star. Definitely not worth the asking price.
