I bought this in February, and it is already COVERED in rust spots. I've been cleaning it at least weekly, by hand. I also use the filters and I use filtered water. And yet, somehow after three months, the thing is covered in big spots of rust. The rust won't come out, even with scrubbing. I bought this hoping that the stainless would hold up better than the plastic. Apparently, it does not. I've owned several pet fountains, and purchased this one because I was always unable to fully clean them. They would get scummy so quickly. I hoped that this fountain would be different. Instead, I am experiencing the same disappointing performance. Except, this time, I can't even clean it off.
