first it was delayed in shipping. i just knew something was wrong when i saw that. Its the first time i ever had a delayed delivery notice from amazon. They couldn't even give me a date when it would be delivered. Well It was finally delivered days later and my fears were confirmed. I noticed the battery was draining super fast, down 10% in less then 10 minutes. After i added my wifi password and personal account information and downloaded a kindle book and read a couple pages to test it out...... the next time the screen locked i couldn't unlock it! An ad popped up and the only thing I could do was click the play button on the ad but i coudln't swipe to unlock! The screen gradually became more unresponsive and intermittent. i was finally able to unlock the screen and wipe the drive with a factory reset, hopefully, through trials and tribulations and pure determination not to send the thing back with my information, hopefully, and after doing so when it went back to the select my language setup the screen was totally unresponsive. i couldn't even shut the thing off. i'm hoping these issues are because it was a refurbished item. i did see some scuff marks on the back and figured no big deal it was barely noticeable. But I would avoid these. i'm now waiting on a non refurbished one for the extra money and i will see how that goes. But already i'm worried about the quality of these devices. Not a good first experience and i'm extremely disappointed.
