I just got off the telephone with Verizon Wireless technical support who informed me that the unit I received had been previously registered with them. Further, Verizon Wireless will not re-registered it with my account. Verizon Wireless is well acquainted with the problem, but there is nothing they can do about it since the equipment was not bought from them. Amazon customer service had no problem to pay for return shipping of the device. See the other reviews here with the same complaint. Do yourself a favor and avoid the trouble of returning this device back to the seller by not buying it.
