My understanding of the ability to lower/raise the table was that it would take a fairly light touch but that is not at all the amount of pressure I have found that it takes to adjust this table. Was severely resistant and made scraping metal-on-metal noise with every movement. We checked every screw and connection in an attempt to loosen something up, make it move more easily, to no avail. I would definitely advise anyone with an issue that compromises strength in the arms or hands (e.g., older persons, those with joint pain, etc) to understand that you're most likely going to have significant difficulty using this product to its intended capacity. It could be just my individual table (got one with ill fitted pieces) but I wouldn't count on it. See video for demonstration of the above.
