This bedding is very, very strongly scented. I opened the box it came in and the smell hit me like a ton of bricks. It smells like a flock of old ladies wearing flea market perfume. The smell clung to my shirt so hard I had to wash it twice to destink it. Now, that smelled strongly to ME. My rats, who the bedding was for, have much more sensitive noses than I do. Strong scents can actually give rats and other small animals respiratory problems. Spraying air freshener in the same room as their cage can mess with them. Since I love my pets, there's no freaking way I'm putting this stuff anywhere near their home. I think its irresponsible for this company to sell this stuff, let alone market it for small animals. I won't be buying Kaytee products in the future.
