i read this book after reading all the reviews, most of them very good...i love period pieces and Downton Abby so i thought this would be great..but after reading 75% of the book i still did not know what the heck i was reading...it started out very interesting but went nowhere after that..i did not fall in love with any of the characters and the setting was depressing to say the least.Downton Abby this was not! the only good thing was it was a free book so all i lost was my time..i finished the book and still dont know what the heck i read....i just didnt get it at all..and the ending left me baffled...
