Good idea gone terribly wrong
Could not get a cut started, shredded the paper every time. I wrote to the company, how was it possible that
it wouldn't even begin to work. They directed me to a website showing how effortlessly it made a perfect cut.
I had watched the video previously, which is one of the reasons I bought the Little Elf. But I looked at the video
again, much more carefully, and I was shocked. The cutter they were demonstrating has a different design
than what they are selling on Amazon. It's easy to see the difference when you look at the pictures.
What they sell (and didn't work for me) has an open slot in the plastic directly in front of the cutting blade.
No matter how I held the paper or what tension I put on it, I could not keep the paper from riding up into
that slot and ripping. Just looking at the picture, it would seem obvious that it can't work.
The cutter in the video has no such open slot. The paper is fed directly straight into the blade, and it would
seem that it should make an easier cut. So I wrote to them a second time, and asked why their demonstration
video uses a cutter design that is not what they are selling. Their lack of response to the question is why
I decided to write this negative review. It's obvious to anyone who looks carefully that the cutters are not
the same.
