BEWARE OF THIS PRODUCT! I ordered this for my 2016, F150, Crew Cab, 4x4. I should have listened to other negative feedback. I wrongfully assumed the complaints of not fitting properly were a small percentage. Unfortunately, they right & I should have heeded their warnings. Product gets -2 stars the following reasons.
1. Many of the other negative feedbacks mentioned having difficulty getting the pre-drilled holes to line up, but I couldn’t even get that far. The right side guard was improperly manufactured on the forward/lower corner. After trying to bend, twist, and push the item into place, I decided to measure how much clearance I had for the stiff plastic to fit into. F150 owners, look at the forward/lower edge of the passenger side fender well as if you’re trying to look toward the rear of the vehicle from inside the wheel well. Notice an area that looks like a channel that’s approximately 2.5” wide. The guard that’s at least 3” is supposed to fit inside that 2.5” area. The only way to get it to fit is to grab your handy-dandy blade and start cutting away at the plastic. Even after trimming the item, it still didn’t fit properly for some. After fighting with it for over an hour, I decided I had enough.
2. Although I was disappointed in my wasted time, I was content in “thinking” that since the item did NOT meet specifications, that Husky would reimburse me with no questions asked. I contacted Husky through the return process and explained my all too common dilemma. They promptly sent a shipping label BUT it wasn’t free. Obviously I thought something was wrong because #1; we are longstanding Amazon Prime customers and have never had problems; #2 the product was obviously defective; #3 Husky HAS to know that this product has very poor quality control.
Insult to Injury! The defective parts cost $94 with free shipping with Amazon Prime. BUT, it cost $70 to ship the item back, which comes out of your refund. So essentially, you pay $24 dollars to piss yourself off.
In closing... Please understand that I typically provide 1-3 sentence comment, post my star rating, and get on with my busy life. But I felt that it was worth sharing so others don’t make the same mistake.
