Very cute patterns. Unfortunately I got this book because I saw how big and floppy the animals were. But unlike most patterns they use a 5mm hook. Unless you crochet very tight that is not a realistic hook for amigruimi. It gives big gaps and fingers can get stuck. You also can see all the stuffing. Nearly every designer I have seen recommended anywhere from a 3.m to a 4mm. It makes a huge difference. Also unlike nearly every pattern I have ever done, and I make over 400 amigruimi a year, these patterns have you working in complete circles like with a hat. As much as this is directed towards new amigruimi makers, it just wont help them use the techniques for other patterns. There will be other techniques to learn. Probably will be using blanket yarn so they are the floppy animals I wanted without the gaps. It does have cute patterns. But unfortunately does not give me the size I was hoping for since I wont use anything bigger than a 3.75mm hook.
