Honestly - I'm shocked this is so popular. I Just received mine... and did the initial 15-20 minute heat up, to remove the chemical residue, as suggested… and the oven is EXTREMELY HOT, not just the top, the entire unit. It's like having an oven interior on your countertop. Far too dangerous to have on a counter top. The unit also cites the California Proposition 65 Warning: "This product contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects or other reproductive harm.” - (Fairly, this warning has been used to the extreme.) - The interior is not stainless, it is a ' non-specific non-stick interior. ' What is it? - A dedicated circuit separated from other appliances is suggested to avoid power fails. To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, exposure to 'excessive UV radiation,' or injury to persons: - Do not operate the light if the bulb housing, glass cover, UV filter or enclosure are missing or damaged. - Do not look directly at the glowing bulb. Do not remain in the light if skin feels warm. - Keep unit away from any materials, like curtains… or anything remotely flammable. (Common sense yes, but for this unit I would recommend a dedicated area.) - Do not have the cord dangle down off the countertop, always check the cord… etc. etc. etc. There are many positive reviews on this oven. I was looking forward to all the possibilities, and disappointed in the risks The temperature of this ovens exterior too extreme. Unlike any countertop appliance I have ever owned - and none that would pose such a safety risk.. For a $400 price tag, buy an oven, with more safety measures in place. If you have children - I would highly recommend you do not purchase this oven. But that’s just me… Others seem to love it. Baffled in NY
