This was given to me as a wedding gift. I want to love this and I used to, but a couple days ago, I was making potato soup (soft potatoes don't seem hard to blend...) and the chopping blade broke! I didn't know it at the time. It wasn't until I was heating up soup the next day for my 11 month old baby that I found a small shard of metal in the soup! I went and looked at the blade, and sure enough, on the underside of the blade, by one of the screws, a small piece of metal was broken off of the blade. This gets one star because I safety comes first, and the manufacturer should make a stronger blade that will not put people in danger.
