A cree xm-l T6 led cannot put out more than 1000 lumens, and that is only if it has the wiring and amps to support it. All of these flashlights advertising 1200 or more lumens are outright lies and false advertising. Amazon obviously doesn't enforce any sort of truth in advertising. Most of the flashlights advertising more than 500 lumens are not actually testing their products, but playing on gullible buyers thinking brighter is better, especially for a really cheap price. People need to do some homework before purchasing a product, especially if it is making outrageous claims. The only way to get more lumens out of one flashlight is with multiple leds and emitters and proper wiring. Buyers beware of false claims.
