Useless junk...
I purchased two of these units about a year ago (December 2015). They really are garbage. Both have already required battery replacement. They can't handle anywhere close to the rated load - more like half of that: I would rate this as a 250 watt UPS, not a 510 - if I put 300 watts on it, measured with a meter, its software starts warning me that it's overloaded. On top of that, the one my home theater PC and Television are connected to tends to just shut itself off whenever there is any sort of power fluctuation (I don't mean an actual power outage, I mean just a less than 1 second "blip" in the power will cause it to just completely shut down, taking everything connected to it with it - a blip that the connected equipment probably wouldn't even have noticed if it weren't connected to this UPS.) Fortunately the one I have my desktop PC connected to doesn't seem to have that same problem, but it's still alarming to me that the battery did not even last a year in either of them. I'm writing this review now just as my home theater UPS shut down without warning yet again, in the middle of watching a movie. :-(
The entire point of a UPS is to protect and increase the availability of the equipment attached to it. I have actually had MORE downtime of my connected equipment than I would have if I simply had it plugged directly into line power and not used a UPS.
What a waste of money!
