I ignored the slew of negative ads on this product, because we have all high end All-Clad products and I didn't think that they would risk their brand equity with a junky product. I was wrong. Perhaps it's because this is made in China. I don't know. Instantly out of the box the handle is metal, a conductive material. That seems like a stupid design. I don't know why they couldn't do an insulated design. Anyway, that's no big deal. However, after six months, the finish became spotted and brown. I'm going to try to return it, but I imagine I've lost my money. It seems like tea kettles and hand soap dispensers are ALL low quality and disposable. It's really sad.
