Nice idea poorly executed
Where to start? I've used a lot of ceramic cookware and long ago cleared the house of anything with Teflon. I've also owned a lot of griddles over the years. Never have I had a griddle so poorly designed, nor a cooking surface so bad.
1. I've had this for 5 months. The harshest thing I've used on the cooking surface is bon ami, and that only when absolutely necessary. It is scratched up like you wouldn't believe.
2. The mechanical design is such that the warming tray has melted in multiple places.
3. The cooking surface in uneven - cooking eggs on this is comical, as everything runs to the middle and then straight to the grease hole.
4. Heat distribution is atrocious. Pancakes have a single dark line from the heating element long before they are cooked anywhere else.
I wish I could think of something nice to say. I was hopeful to get back to an electric griddle, but this one was a total waste of money.
