Don't do it. Just don't. The actual aquarium itself is great. But I was ignorant, and new to aquariums. Everything that comes with it is cheap. Basically, save yourself the trouble. And just buy a tank and build it yourself. Because the only part of this kit I even use now....is the tank. It would have been cheaper to just buy the tank, and go from there. Tetra is a great company, but their filters are awful. The plants are cheap. And the heater is garbage. The hood is flimsy, and the light is about half as bright as it needs to be. So....just don't do it. I'm warning you. Don't do it and if you do purchase. Here's what I want you to do to help save others. Whenever you find yourself REPLACING things for better quality products, write a review...abd title it....Kyle Warned me. Don't do it
