I used these about ten times with smaller loads of wash. I then put my king size white comforter in the dryer with these balls. The comforter takes up the entire dryer & I have to do three - four drying cycles using Heavy Duty or Permanent Press to get it completely dry. Each time I take the comforter out of the dryer and put it back in so that different areas of the comforter are on the outside edge against the drum. The last cycle I used was a 40 min timed dry. When I took the comforter out of the dryer the last time it was ruined with numerous tan colored large stains on it. Seems where anywhere a dryer ball had become lodged in the comforter in stained my very good master bedroom comforter... cheap balls now costing me a $200 comforter.
