Update: BEWARE. Seller bribes customers to delete negative reviews. I bought this product because it had great reviews. When I wasn’t happy, I returned it and wrote an honest review. Since then, I have received 5+ emails from the seller offering $15-$50 dollars to delete my review. I really want to like this, but I am going to stick with a regular hair straightener. I have long, thick, wavy hair. My hair looked a little poofy and my split ends seemed a lot more noticeable after straightening with this. It worked well for the pieces of hair around my face though. I didn’t want to give a bad review because I’m sure it works great for other hair types, but It didn’t work for me. Also, the straightener I received was awful. I could see steam coming out of it when I wasn’t even using it. My hair would come off in the brush so it would burn in the brush and created a wonderful smell. The power button is near where you hold it so I kept accidentally turning it off while I was using it. It got to the point where I had to check to see if it was still on after every pass. Then I realized it would turn off when I wasn’t even pressing anything! Then when I was finished. I pressed the power button and it started turning the temperature down. I think I probably just received a defective straightener. Returned it after using twice.
