Comparison between original and these new ones :(
I purchased my NEW set of 150 prismacolor premier on October 9 and had them delivered Friday the 18th of October in the morning... let me first start by saying .. WOW... for presentation.. that’s where it stops. I’ve used prismacolor pencils for 10 years when I first purchased my first set of 48 prismacolor premier with x2 bonus crayon pigment sticks for uni. NEVER EVER had a problem, they were and still are perfect and smooth, vibrant, soft, no effort required to use them and smell amazing when you open the tin, and have engraved USA ...not to mention had to sharpen them all myself which I loved..♥️ Now... my new ones of 150 are very different.. very very different • chalky/ crumbley texture when you use them •dry on paper • off centered• lightweight barrels •rough feeling and to draw with •look dull and cheap in the box like a Asian shop $2 set of pencils •pre sharpened with a cheap sharpener •are out of colour order and have engraved MEXICO... Is this a joke? I’m an illustrator. I can’t use quality this cheap on my work. It’s degrading. I’m very tempted to return them ... I don’t know what’s changed in 10years and I feel like i should have read these reviews beforehand .. very disappointed and heartbreaking to be honest.. also the plastic crates they’re in don’t have written prismacolor like my original ones do... If I knew they were this disgusting I would have never placed my order ... I paid $181.40 AUD for them shipped to Melbourne Australia and I wish I had paid $330 from my local art shop instead .. What has changed? Is this how bigger sets are? Is that what they’re supposed to look like in larger sets? These were meant to be a birthday present for myself and I’m actually disheartened at how they present ... How does it work with return ?
