I purchased a Onkyo tx-rz710 last year for my bedroom and loved the sound and features and reliability. When I wanted to upgrade my main home theatre system I therefore decided on the Onkyo tx-rz820 due to my positive experience with the rz710. Unfortunately within 60 days the tx-rz820 receiver completely failed while listening to music at a low to medium volume level. I heard a pop and detected the burned smell of a electrical component, the receiver totality failed. Contacting both Amazon and Onkyo I was advised the rz820 would have to be sent to a Onkyo service repair facility at my expense. Basically I buy a new unit through Amazon which fails within 60 days and have invest time and the expense and wait to receive a refurbished Onkyo receiver. I am not happy.
