I myself was shocked to learn - with Wedderspoon being one of the top selling brands of "active 16+" manuka honey on Amazon, that it's not the real thing. I'm not going to insert outside links, so please do the research yourself. Please learn more about active Manuka, before buying, because I am growing tired of having to defend an extraordinary, well-documented gift of nature, fall into the "endangered species" list. If the Active Manuka you bought does not give any relief to what you bought it for, then throw away the brand, not the honey. "organic", "unprocessed" Manuka honey means nothing, as real active Manuka is organic, and unprocessed, it doesn't need the type of marketing. Look for the AMHA seal. You can also go to the AMHA site, they list all the registered Active Manuka Honey brands. Here are some brands,the Amazon sells, that I trust from personal experience, and from research: Active MGO 400+ (Old 20+) Manuka Honey 100% Pure by Manuka Health New Zealand Ltd. - 8.75 oz/250g jar (AMHA approved)Comvita Manuka Honey UMF 15+ 250 gr/8.8 oz Manuka Honey & Propolis Lozenges, Active 15+, 20 Lozenges, 3.2 oz (92 Y.S. Bee has especially suffered, because they buy from a NZ coop - I've noticed they've no active 15 + Manuka to sell - not in 2012, or 2013. I give them props for their integrity. Manuka Doctor Bio Active 15 Plus Honey, 8.75 Ounce Of the others, ON THIS SITE, such as Airborne, Syngergy Healing Honey, I don't know about, so I cannot recommend or condemn. There are other good, real active manuka honeys as well - but they're not on Amazon. I just encourage you to do the same I did - don't throw the baby out with the bathwater - just - spend some time in this ADD world, doing some research, and support real Manuka honey brands.
