PLEASE be very careful if you order this item due to the gases emitting from the materials. Normally I would ignore a review like this as an exception or anomaly, but there are a few other people that have been affected by this as well in the reviews....The materials emit horrible odors and gases that I was sure would dissipate after 24-48 hours, but it's been over 2 weeks and the nightstand is making me sick! As a nightstand, it's right by bed, of course, and I'm waking up with problems breathing, nose clogged, and worst of all, major headaches. That's why I'm writing this warning. A few minutes after I get out of bed and remove myself from the area of the nightstand, the headache dissipates and my breathing returns (although I also do a nose rinse with warm salt water which is critical for me to get the gases out of my nose!) Some may not have as significant a reaction as me, I tend to be allergic to very strong smoke, perfumes, etc. But I've never had a reaction like this that literally is making me sick! Sadly, I am retuning this item, which is inconvenient for me and a disappointment. BE CAREFUL! DON'T GET SICK OR WORSE! Amazon is allowing me to return the item in its assembled state by bringing it to a Kohl's store. Still inconvenient. BEWARE!! The manufacturer should fix this; worse than smoking a cigarettes. (never wrote a review before but this issue made me take action)
