This kit looks amazing when you first open it. Then your kid chooses an experiment and the frustration begins. There are so many great measuring tools yet the instructions say things like “add 3/4 of water” (everything is label in mL) or add a spoon of X (there are spoons of different measurements). We tried the Blow Ballon by Water experiment 3 times. It says “add 2-4 spoons of citric acid”... why not say the exact amount? We tried 3 spoons and the balloon shot off. We tried 2 spoons and the balloon shot off. We tried 1 spoon and the balloon wouldn’t blow up at all. We also tried “Volcanic Eruption”, even though I hate messes, and nothing happened. My little scientist and I are very disappointed and she hasn’t asked to do any more experiments since “because they probably won’t work”. Edit: Downgrade from two stars to one star. The company reached out to me offering me a $20 refund to change my review. Nope. Nope. Nope. Edit 11/9/21: The company AGAIN offered me $20 to delete my review.
