I bought this Dewalt blower with the lithium-ion battery because a friend has one and she said it was a life-changer. What she meant was it was so easy to use; didn't have to fight a long electrical cord or worry about dealing with the gasoline. Initially, it was great, but after about 4 months, the battery wouldn't hold a charge. I could use it for maybe 5 minutes before it was out of juice. This was not a low-cost purchase, so I decided not to let it slide. I called Dewalt and the nice person who took my call sent me a label and gave me instructions on how to return the battery for a replacement. I did that in mid-October. I was told it would take 2 weeks, so I waited. A couple of days ago (11/7) I called the store with my order number to get information on my order. I was told those batteries are back-ordered due to a lithium-ion battery shortage and it is unknown when my replacement will be sent. The clerk suggested I call the Dewalt corporate office and complain to them. I'm so disappointed in this product and in Dewalt. My father was a power tool repairman and he loved Dewalt anything--he said they were the best. My yard and driveway are full of leaves now and it looks like I will be raking leaves, not blowing leaves. I feel like I wasted $250 and Dewalt doesn't care. Update as of November 9, someone from Dewalt called and told me a replacement battery would not be available until the first quarter of 2019. I would NOT recommend this product or any other Dewalt product sorry to say.
