I purchased this router to replace a trusty old Linksys WRT54g. The old router was working fine but it was the bottleneck in my network, only providing up to ~40 mbps download speeds. My ISP provides over 200Mbps. The new "refurbished" router setup was easy and I immediately saw download speeds in excess of 200 mbps! Awesome, until the internet started dropping out of the wireless signals (LAN connected devices were fine). The wireless signal was there, connectable and strong (both 2.4 and 5MHz), but the internet would randomly drop out of my connected wireless devices. It didn't happen to all of my connected wireless devices at the same time, but would randomly drop out of each device independently. iOS, Android, it didn't matter, the internet would randomly drop out even though I was still connected to the router with a strong signal. I made sure I had the latest firmware, I did. I tried many resets (router and modem), reboots, and firmware versions. I made sure I was using wireless channels that were not congested (which shouldn't matter in this case, as I could easily connect wirelessly to the router...the connection to the router was strong). I tried static IP addresses..no luck, it was still happening, so I started searching for a fix. I found that other people were having the same issue with both new and refurbished versions of this router as well as the AC1900, with no fix available! What really gets me is this stared happening right after the 30 day return window!!! Now I'm SOL, unless Linksys wants to pick up the ball and do the right thing, let me return this unit for a full refund! Linksys - I purchased a replacement router, one of your WRT models. It's working as I'd expect it to, with no internet drops. Do the right thing and let me return this refurbished AC1750 for a full refund.
