Blew up in the first few minutes
As a home technology professional and buyer of tons of electronics for myself and my clients, Im used to getting a few failures. Most vendors will not hesitate to replace or repair a product that has issues within a reasonable time frame. So when THIS vendor objected to a return after the unit short circuited IN THE FIRST USE and started smoking, I thought it was a bit odd. Sure am glad it didnt burn my house down! Anyway after we got the air cleared out I started the return request... got a VERY SHORT 'NO', since it had been a few days past their initial return period. Problem is, this is a HEATER. You dont just rip open the package and start using it when you get it.... you wait til it gets cold. So, it'd been a few weeks. In any event, I requested an A to Z refund from Amazon directly after the rejection from stores123... even Amazon rejected it. DESPITE THE FACT THAT IT POPPED, SPARKED OUT, AND WENT DOWN IN A PLUME OF SMOKE ON THE VERY FIRST USE OUT OF THE BOX. Im going to take this up with Lasko now, who apparently have a longer warranty period... Normally in this situation the vendor facilitates a manufacturers warranty... so here is a BIG THANK YOU to stores123 and Amazon for showing your true colors as folks who really dont care about anything beyond getting the orders in. For all the money you make, you should offer return policies at least as good, if not better, than all the local stores that you are responsible for closing. SHAMEFUL
