Would not recommend. Conveniently after amazon's return window, it started beeping 1 time, 2 times, then 3 times on random nights at 1am and 2am. It may have to do with temperature drops at night, but that still should not happen. Cleaned it out with compressed air, no change. It is not a beep that matches any of the warnings. It is not the chirp of a dead battery. It is a beep that shows it is defective. Kidde has not responded to my questions about why this is happening. And I am losing sleep because nothing wakes you up fully like a smoke alarm randomly going off in the middle of the night.I bought this one after buying another that works fine. Just shows they are not manufacturing a consistent product. I no longer trust that Kidde products will alert me to actual smoke or CO.
