Main character is an idiot.
I loved the writers world, the people are vibrant and interesting, the how and why was a bit vague, but the absolute killer was the main character was possibly one of the worst characters I've ever read.
She's saved by miracles no less than 4 times before you're 30% of the way through the novel, she's brought to the brink of death 2 of those 4 times in the EXACT same manner both times created by her actions, the 4th time she gets miracled she ends up getting one of her 3 friends killed (who happens to be the Queen’s champion on a mission to bring his people into an era of social cooperation with other races (quite a noble character but alas he was doomed once he met the Inkeeper), alienates the other one, gets herself banished from town, causes the local militia to stop protecting the country side, and for what reason? She's trying to convince the world that her way (or her complete inability to learn from her mistakes) is the way that will save the world (or at least her inn, which she doesn't stay more than a 1 hour walk from).
If someone wants a bleeding heart left-wing woe is me I'm the victim because the world just doesn't understand snowflake as a primary character in a book please by all means pick this one up you'll love it.

If you believe that getting yourself stabbed to death 3 times and then antagonizing a hive of giant spiders which you decided to go out and kill to see if you can. Then oddly enough cry because you killed the hatchlings (they're just babies) when you burned the hive after systematically searching for and closing off every exit from said hive, then brooding about what a horrible person you are to a fellow adventurer who just told you an entire troop of adventures would never have been able to pull off such a rousing success against monsters of their like...well I just don't know who could actually like a sociopath protagonist like that.
