I Love Lasko Fans, Just Not This One.
I love Lasko fans. I already had 3 (2 box fans and one smaller fan for under my desk at work) before I purchased this stand up with remote. This fan does a great job of moving the air. The issues I have run into with this particular style is...
1. Every time I move it the round piece that sets on the floor falls off. There’s no way to permanently attach it to the long neck.
2. The fan can change height. In the middle of the neck is a grip that you can turn and loosen to slid, you move it to the height you want and tighten again to hold in place. This one won’t get tight enough to hold and the fan gets shorter while in use.
3. This then causes an issue with using the remote. The sensor on the neck slides down and falls lower then the item in front of the fan (the fan is at the foot of my bed and falls lower then the foot board) so it then won’t get the signal.
4. And then there’s a tap, tap, tap as it spins on low and medium. It does it on high but it spins so fast you don’t notice it. It’s Like a piece is hitting something as it spins. I’m working on finding the cause to see it I can resolve it.
Again I want to say I love Lasko fans. It’s just been this one model that I’ve not been happy with. This fan does a great job moving air though. I will continue to use Lasko fans, just not the stand up floor kind.
