My internal TV speakers deliver higher quality audio. Depending on the degree of voice boost chosen, the sound ranged from foggy/muffled to tinny. At level 6, the highest voice clarification, voices are distorted to the point of grating to the ear. The remote control requires you to count the flashes of a single indicator light to monitor voice boost level. Instead of a simple LED digit displaying "6" you have to repeatedly press the button and count to six flashes to reach that level. It's hard to describe, but trust me it's very irritating. Integration with my Dish Remote and TCL SmartTV was a hassle. It took multiple searches to find solutions and the Zvox site was often lacking. For example, Zvox FAQs said I would have to constantly change the mode of my Dish remote from SAT to AUX to control the speaker, but in fact you can configure the Dish remote to control the mute and volume without switching modes. I really wanted this to work, but after a month of fiddling around I gave up ad returned it.
